A New Woodwose?

Neil Bryant is on his way. I went to the Green Man at 6-30 to see him off. At first there was no sign, but after a couple of minutes I saw a light coming up the hill out of the deer park. It was Neil Bryant who had jogged over from Totterdown to the start (45 minutes!) He is certainly a Woodwose in spirit – to beat the record he will need to get in around 1-30pm – I reckon he will do it if he doesn’t get lost!

Hopefully you are home now, but belated best of luck with your record attempt.

What a day! Not quite the record. Well maybe for the highest mileage and most mess ups! Did 105 kms overall including the run to and from my home in Totterdown. Over 14 hrs! A fun recce though and can’t wait to get out there again. Stunning ‘city’ running.

Well he did get lost!! He’d been out on the course just under 13 hours when he arrived at the Green Man with Louise who had kept him company with a bicycle since Kendleshire Golf Course. It will be interesting to hear where he went wrong, so that we can update the new instructions. He has certainly tested those to destruction!

I made lots of mistakes when I did the challenge adding over 5 miles to the track but I am now reccing the routes one at a time on a Sunday morning and can now say I can get to Shortwood Hill with mapping. Hopefully I will have another go in Febuary and get a far more respectable time.
    Hail Woodwose.

Does Fabien’s comment reflect international interest? And is Liz a contender for the women’s record?
