Jonathan Gledson of TACH completed an excellent run of the Green man Challenge yesterday (Saturday 29th January), with support from several members of TACH on various stages. His magnificent time of 8 hours twelve minutes is the third fastest so far behind Martin Beale and Martin Indge of Team Vasque (7hrs 19 mins 52 secs and 7hrs 48 mins between them im 2008 and 2009) and just ahead of the boys from BAD Tri, Matt Edwards, Marcus Mumford, James Leith and Matthew Bisto (8hrs 21 mins who ran during the Vernal Equinox of 2010).

Jonathan has certainly put down a marker for the Moti runners to aim at on 19th February, when up to fifty runners are expected to take part in a guided run led some of the BAD Tri boys among others. This event, sponsored by Saloman and Gore is not supposed to be a race, but I wonder if some of them will break from the pack to have a pop at Jonathan’s time.

Jonathan is expected at the Green Man tonight, if other obligations don’t get in the way, although he has warned me that he may not get there for the beginning of the Green Man Quiz, which is scheduled forĀ  7-30 for 8.
